What’s In A Name

I felt well enough to attend a Royal British Legion Cornwall Chairmans brief during the morning and early afternoon held in St Austell at the Sea Cadet Unit.
The unit is known as T.S Hood, HMS Hood, the ‘Mighty Hood’, is possibly one of the Royal Navy’s best known ships.

However inside the unit was a scale model of HMS St Austell Bay, not quite so glamorous but unique in its own way - there has only ever been one HMS St Austell Bay. She was a Bay Class anti-aircraft ship, launched in 1945, too late for the war, she served for ten years all over the globe.
If it was me I’d go for T.S St Austell Bay.
She’s looks a good ship in the stock photograph used in todays Blip.

The meeting was ok, free drinks bottle, lots of useful informations and a great buffet.

Home in time for Mrs S and Sam to make quick trip into Truro for art supplies.
Soup and a sandwich for dinner before shifting into the back lounge with my book allowing Mrs S and her “Gin Club” friends to set up in the front lounge.
Feeling a little better, hopefully on the mend, tomorrow is another early start.
