Living Lollipops
It's been a grey and drizzly day in the Northern Rivers. So far, thankfully, we've had less rain than forecast. Other parts of eastern Australia have not been so lucky.
I took only this one photo today, when we visited a plant nursery in nearby Alstonville. The trade name for these cactus plants is Desert Lights. I read that they are generically called Moon Cactus. And that they are produced for the nursery trade by grafting two separate plants. Which means, in this case, that they have only a short life. More information is on this webpage, from which I took the 'Living Lollipop' title. We didn't buy any lollipops, but did buy some herb seedlings.
