Pottery day

What a lovely day! I had booked a pottery throwing workshop for No.1’s birthday in September which took place in Wimbledon. It was more difficult than it looked but practice makes a bit perfect?! The hardest part was centring the pot but help was on hand. After clearing up we headed to Wimbledon common for a walk and some lunch. We got a bit lost but found our way after driving around in circles!

The sun was setting but the common was beautiful and the trees were a lovely colour. Nice to do some normal stuff although No.1 was reflective and thoughtful. We had a long chat and some tears but know we are going to get through this! I realised I had left my watch at the pottery place and was pleased it was still there and hadn’t been pinched.

Home for dinner and a couple of episodes of the Crown. JC out with some friends watching the rugby. I stayed over again so another night on the sofa but will have a more comfortable pillow tonight!
