Diary of an Edinburgher

Information Overload!

Well, I had an informative day on my ‘Let’s Prevent Diabetes!’ Course. 9am-4.30pm, with a couple of five minute breaks, and a half hour for lunch. It was intense! But interesting. I learned lots - just don’t ask me anything till I look over my big haul of information booklets.

Of course those times coincided with both rush hours, and so I had a nightmare journey across the city both ways. I’m SO GLAD I don’t have to go to work any more.

There were only five participants, and actually, one chap disappeared at the first ‘toilet break’… We had to go round saying why we were there. But that wasn’t a problem - we didn’t mind discussing our ailments in such a setting, and in fact, I was possibly the healthiest one…

Back at home, Denise took Archie out in the morning and Jane took him out in the afternoon, so he’s snoring on the sofa as we speak. He’s using his bed more and more, and usually sleeps all night, with no incidents. All good. I haven’t taken a photo today, so another one of Arch in the leaves will have to do…

Off to read my pre-diabetes notes now…
