Remembrance Sunday
The T20 final (England v Pakistan) at the MCG was on Ch 4 at 8am, I do like these short games (not the five day test matches) so I watched it on my phone in bed with my cuppa, then I watched it on my iPad while in the shower (not ideal) and while doing some ironing. Then I watched it on the tv - much better! Well done England!
Another warm spring winter’s day. Calm, sunny and very mild - almost summer temperatures in this part of the world…
Scotland v The All Blacks was on in the afternoon, so I decided to pop down quickly to M&S to get something I’d spotted online. I’d spotted it, but hadn’t noted its name or the product code. And so, I spent absolutely AGES going round and round, unable to find it. I asked an assistant, who tried on the website, but without a name or product code, it was impossible. I texted JR, who sent me the details, but I still had to ask an assistant for help. And then they didn’t have my size, I came home and ordered it online.
But it was not a wasted journey - I went to see the Remembrance Day display in the Gardens.
I was lucky to get a bus just when I wanted it - they’re few and far between on Sundays, and I was in a rush home to watch the rugby, having spent longer (much longer) than anticipated shopping. NZ beat Scotland, but all I hope is for the Scots to put on a decent show, which they did. Anyway, I support the All Blacks too.
I’ve got an interesting day tomorrow. I’m going on a ‘Prevent Diabetes’ course. My doctor mentioned it months ago because my ‘platelets’ are just on the right side of normal. So I’m an ideal target for this new initiative. There must have been a cancellation, so they rang me the other day.
I readily agreed, thinking it could be a well-spent hour. But NO! It’s an all-day course! Bring your own refreshments. And your own pencil and paper for note taking.
