Twin Towers

I drove over to No.1 this morning and after a cup of tea and danish (thank you Waitrose) we headed off to IKEA.  We decided on a quick visit before her appointment at the RM.  We gave ourselves an hour and inevitably time ran out - it is amazing what you can see in Ikea that you never knew you needed/wanted.  We were cutting it a bit short and the queue was HUGE so I asked an assistant if there was somewhere we could put the trolly aside and return to pay later (after her appointment).  A kind lady at the front of the queue overhead and allowed us to jump in so that we didn't have to come back.  We made the appointment with a few minutes to spare but both agreed that we wouldn't do it again - if we are having a shopping/IKEA trip next time,, we will do it after the appointment!

No.1 was amazing and calm and strolled in as if she was just having a routine check up at the dentist, rather than radiotherapy on her head!  Very surreal but I am so proud of her stoicism and 'just get on with it' attitude.

Back to the flat for a quick cup of tea and to show JC our purchases before heading home - M25 again but fortunately no jams and home by 6.00.
