Hedging Your Bets

Today was another slow blip day. I hadn't committed myself to getting a shot when I looked outside and saw our beech hedge.
It runs the length of our garden but so far it has steadfastly refused to lose the vast majority of its leaves which would normally be long gone by now. It had hardly even changed colour until a couple of weeks ago but it is now a rather spectacular swathe of copper coloured foliage.
