Tree decorations

Today I finally finished decorating all our Christmas trees. This Santa is an ornament we bought in Ecuador when we went on an amazing trip to the Galapagos quite a few years ago. We came across this little shop in a village which had lovely clay decorations( obviously mainly for the US tourists). I don’t think the people who made them will have seen a real snowman!

Also 9n this tree are some beaded angels which I bought in Botswana. It’s always nice getting out the decorations and remembering where you bought some of them and also some holidays too.

Very cold this morning -3.5C so my busy lizzies have finally gone! I don’t think they have lasted until December before. So I cleared out the pots and swept up more leaves as they are nearly all down now.

It was very frosty on the football pitches where I walk our dog and the training for the football teams was cancelled. I went over to Trowlock Island to see a friend and deliver her Christmas card. As I was going across the little ferry I saw several skiffs, from the skiff club there, all decorated and setting off down the river…see extra. They were skiffing/rowing to a pub for lunch!
It was nice sitting looking out at the river from our friends house and observing quite a few rowers , many with Santa hats today. Also lots of swans as someone had been feeding them nearby.
