Giant Baby Jesus

Mum found the crib to put up.  I think the main figures are Italian and were from my Grandmother but the baby Jesus must have turned up a bit later because he’s certainly bearing his divinity in a weighty manner.  The lamb also seems ‘the lamb that ate Bethlehem’.

The day began Festive with a birthday brunch for friend Chris with gorgeous bacon rolls and Buck’s Fizz and then Rory came from his father’s, Woody exploded with joy and we had a soupy lunch and a walk in the woods between rain showers.

We then went over to see Mum and have tea and crumpets with her.  She rather likes having a grandchild visit solo because she gets a chance to talk to them and they thoroughly nattered well!

Vikram cooked him an epic goose dinner, I provided a Rory friendly pudding of Arctic Roll courtesy of a Jamie Oliver recipe that got a bit squished in the fridge so looked grotesque.  We did late Christmas Even presents as we often do and finished the evening sitting by the fire catching up.

Turns out I also rather like having a son on his own too.
