Christmas Eve

The trouble with backblipping at Christmas is that I’ve looked ahead and there is the risk of nothing but pictures of people eating and drinking.

We decided with the children being so little to have a run of presents whenever we needed a change of dynamic rather than overwhelming them.  So here’s Ivy opening an exquisite ‘coffee shop’ playset from John Lewis. All in wood with a clicky wheel on the espresso machine, a payment card and reader, sugar, croissants and pastries with tongs, , coffee, tea cup with tea bag.  Absolutely lovely.  Ivy is a big fan of a babycino so recognise the whole thing.

Rory arrived at tea and we had a big reunion and sat around eating mince pies and drinking tea.

After the babies went to bed, Beetle made champagne cocktails and we had roast goose which V likes to cook at some point.  I made chocolate pots from Jamie Oliver’s Xmas book which were delicious but incredibly rich.  I think I made them too big actually.
