....splish, splash.......

Fishing match today.....at the oddly named German Lane....so called because after WWII there was a German POW camp on the site.

The day started warm and cloudy...but by the half way point of the match the rain arrived.....and it rained solidly for the next two and a half hours. Soaked to the skin!

When I got home it was to discover the Boss and the Daughter also soaked to the skin...because they had decided to spring clean the pond.

Hot drinks....hot showers....fresh clothes and then we settled down to watch the football.

Several items about Fergie's retirement....and Scholsey's too...then the match....United won 2-1....then Fergie's retirement speech....then the presentation of the Premier League Trophy....and finally an episode of Football's Greatest dedicated to Sir Alex.

What with the noisy neighbours losing the Cup Final yesterday, I'm left wondering....."Do weekends get any better than this"?

I think it's time for a celebratory beer!
