On the South Bank London

Today I went to meet up with friends in Covent Garden and en route I wandered around the South Bank area. The Christmas ‘light show’ items are still in place until the end of January and this is one outside the Royal Festival Hall looking good in the sun this morning.
We had lunch at Dishroom, an Indian restaurant which serves a wide range of dishes from Bombay. ( I have previously been to the one in Kings Cross which is in an old warehouse) The food is quite different to normal High Street Indian restaurants and really good for vegetarians. The interior and furnishing are interesting  and there is an open kitchen too. We really enjoyed the meal.

The area was very busy, lots of tourists as I guess the exchange rate is really in their favour.

Last night I went to see a screening from the Royal Opera House of Like Water for Chocolate which is a new ballet based on a book set in Mexico. It was great and the lead dancers were amazing.
