Productive day

It was Monday so started with BP.  Home via Lidl for food shopping - OH had blitzed house while I was out so it was nice and clean.  I spent most of the rest of the day cooking.  First I made the marmalade prepped yesterday.  It is a good recipe I first made last year and works well, and I will do another batch while the Seville oranges are still available.  I then made up a batch of mince for shepherd pies, lasagnes and chilli con carne.  Although I am now retired and have lots more time I don’t seem to be able to get out of the habit of batch cooking.  Although always useful to have spare freezer dinners for No,1 or No.2 to take back with them.

OH called round to see MIL whose mobile phone (pile of crap) had gone wrong.  He took her back to Tesco where she bought it.  Turns out she had spilt tea on it and it was kaput.  However - old crap technology and no numbers stored to SIM card so OH spent another hour putting numbers in for her (again).  Although unlike iPhone, putting numbers in means pressing key four times if you want D, etc etc.  long winded, frustrating process but she is very grateful for all his help.

Another episode of Baptiste but I have lost interest, story is unbelievable and too drawn out.  Only one more to go!  Roll on summer when we are still in the garden at 8.00 rather than keeping warm in front of the fire watching dross TV.

No.1 had another appointment today and it’s looking good for next procedure, probably on Wednesday.
