You never miss it until it's gone.....
What am I waffling about today I hear you ask. Well maybe not....
As you know, I always go to McDonalds first thing to get a cup of tea to kill time waiting for the council house to open. I usually use my fifteen minutes in there to catch up on a couple of late night blips posted after I'd gone off to the Land of Nod or moan a bit on Twitter about McDonalds in general and how dreadful it is! There is always a choice of subject:-
a) terrible tuneless music
b) scary customers with wild eyes who haven't yet had their early morning fix
c) obvious escapees from a nuthouse
d) tramps
e) staff who manage to give me tea with a splash of coffee flavouring
f) worried staff who stare at my Scottish tenner and ask me whether it's Euros, the poor souls seeing their glittering McDonalds career being brought to an early end ruined by a dodgy foreign Monopoly money note....
Ah I won't go on.. Anyway imagine my surprise when I walked round the corner this morning to see McDonalds in darkness and a little crowd of the usual suspects huddled in the doorway!
I wasn't thrilled as it was raining again. The memories of the Riverdance (sounded like it) being practised by 60 people in tap shoes jumping up and down on my window sill all last night was still too fresh...
Well, I decided to dawdle up the High Street taking pictures managing to almost get run over no less than three times by the street sweeper cart! His idea of early morning fun sport I suppose... Git!
Oh well... St Alphege Church with my attempt at cheering it up in the overcast midweek gloom is my effort today.
