Icy river

It was cold but clear, today, and with all chores done, and a little time to pass before my German lesson, we decided to take a drive, going out to Dent, and then east before heading down to Ingleton and then home. 

The road out of Dent follows the river Dee, and it was clear that it had been pretty much frozen over at some point, but was now thawing. I've not really been able to capture just how beautiful it was, although perhaps you can get some idea from my main photo and the Extras.
