Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

JR’s foot still isn’t right, so no gym today again. I think she’s quite enjoying not getting up and out at the crack of dawn…

I watched the tennis final, and thank goodness it wasn’t five hours long, though I’d’ve like Tsitsipas to have made it a bit harder for Djokovic.

Elizabeth came to get Archie at midday, so he had a huge long walk, up Blackford Hill and beyond. So we took a dander round to Bruntsfield for something to eat/drink. We decided on Project Coffee - haven’t been there for ages. It was mobbed, as usual, and the meals look great, but we just had a (very good) scone each, and came home. Neither of us felt like a longer walk.

Back home, fire on, and we finished off ‘All Quiet on the Western Front’. It really was horribly graphic. I would HATE to see it on the big screen. But I suppose huge credit is due to the ‘special effects’ team.
