Scottish Ballet

If you ever get the chance to seeScottish Ballet perform The Snow Queen do go. It was the most fabulous production. It was a wonderful birthday treat from us to Ailie and Chris and they really appreciated it. We were all enthralled and Mr C even forgot to cough. (This was last night but I want it as an aid memoir.)

The other exciting news for us is that Nathaniel’s performing arts school has put him in for an audition for a part in a children’s TV serial. He understands that hundreds of boys will be up for the part but it’s nevertheless exciting. We’re also really impressed that Ella is excited for him and not jealous - it’s even for her favourite TV programme. (I’ve had to watch many episodes with her).

Today I baked a cake to take up Carole tomorrow and packed my bag. Mr C has been setting up my Mac. Everything seems to be going ok though it needs a lot of attention. So much so I forgot to go to Art Appreciation. I’m making him a specially nice veggie tagine - it would do my head it faffing on with the palaver so I owe him a bit of spoiling. In addition he’ll need more TLC after staying with Carole as she puts us up on an aged tiny lumpy sofa bed, so he takes his thermarest and sleeps on the floor. The window is right by the road which is a busy bus route. I’m looking forward to see her and partner David and her ex, Dennis. Hopefully friend Ruth will come out for a meal with us too.
