Getting Pigeonholed

Today started off very cold and overcast with an atmospherically low mist. I had to head out to do some food shopping so I thought I would stop off in town for a quick walk along the riverfront hoping to capture a suitably ephemeral waterside image of boats and other riverside craft enveloped in nebulous early morning light.
Instead I only saw one rather unphotogenic boat on the opposite bank and a plethora of pigeons which had decided to take up temporary residence on all the nearby benches. So here is today's pigeon blip!
For your enjoyment I've even included an extra - I spotted this fella trying to climb the steps of the river underpass and liked his black and white plumage against the bright yellow stripes of the step risers. Sometimes you just have to work with what you've got and not let your feathers get too ruffled! :-)
