Four Heads

Four heads are better than three I thought as I blipped the Amaryllis belonging to my friend and neighbour. It was even better that she was colour coordinated with the bloom, and I have to say that of the two she looked the fresher.

Sundays can sometimes be tricky days to fill for a bus pass singleton but today was not one of those. The Merry Widows Coven met for coffee at 10am and before we knew it it was 12.40pm and we had put out bewitching spells on absolutely everything and everybody, mostly people we didn’t know. Beware the Ides of March come early.

Having sat for so long, a walk was on order next to get some exercise. The wind gusts were strong enough for me to worry that my bunnet would be torn from my head as I circumnavigated the Meadows with my purchase of Lidl’s oranges.

I’m happy now to call it a day and be content to settle down with my current book- Crow Lake by Mary Lawson and my ‘sock’!
