A Long Sunday and Monday of Pain
Yesterday, I didn’t Blip as I was not in a good place at all with my fibromyalgia pain and mood. I phoned a friend at 7.40am after waking up at 6am in utter agony.
We were on the phone for two hours, I was very upset and they were very kind and compassionate towards me, which I really appreciated as I had just hit a wall of what I could cope with, quite honestly.
I tried to pick up my latest new meds today but as my bus didn’t turn up, I was unable to and twenty minutes in the cold and wind did nothing for my existing high levels of pain and fatigue.
This afternoon, I forced myself to go for a short walk about 3pm. I took some quick snaps (main Blip and extras). I was hoping it would help alleviate my pain but to no avail. At least I got some gentle exercise in and some snapshots.
This evening, I did three short online singing lessons online as a pain distraction. Caught up with texts from friends. I have seven episodes of Coronation Street to catch up on - that’s never been known! I have done no Duolingo today or yesterday :(
Today would have been Kurt Cobain of Nirvana’s 56th birthday. He had ADHD and bipolar and suffered from chronic stomach pain which led him to experiment with drugs up to and including heroin - if only he had been born later, maybe he would have got more support for his mental health and not committed suicide? I hope he’s in a better place.
I was sad to read that the body of Nicola Bulley, the missing woman, was found today. I had been wishing, hoping and even praying she would be found safe and well. I feel for her partner, family and children. I hope they are left alone to grieve in peace.
In addition, I was sad to hear of the second earthquake in Turkey. I used to have a Turkish penpal as a teenager - her name was Zeynep Firtina.
I will play catch up with Blip tomorrow, way behind!
Hope you’ve all had a great weekend and wonderful beginning to your week :) xx
