Is it a whale?

Today I went to the RHS gardens at Wisley and we saw the current exhibition in the glasshouse which was set up for half term and is on for a few more weeks….it is called a ‘Deep Sea Dive’ display which has many familiar houseplants mixed with other weird and wonderful plants with a deep sea diver, a small lighthouse and parts of shipwrecks plus some specially constructed rock cliffs! The photo is of one item…a whale tail? There were also quite a few ‘fish’ and a ‘seahorse ‘ made out of mosses. Also see the extras. There were also quite a few activities for children to do.
It was quite innovative but I can’t say it is something I would recommend everyone to rush to see.

Lots of snowdrops , daffodils and small irises are out. The crocuses are starting to flower but will be better in a couple of weeks I think.
Today we had a sandwich lunch in the biggest cafe/ restaurant instead of Hilltop. It was very very disappointing.I’m sure the sandwich was not made fresh today the bread was very dry.

However a very positive experience was using a mobility scooter as I can not presently walk the usual distance round the gardens. A brilliant system you can book in advance, nice staff to tell you how to use the controls and I found it fun to use! A new experience. I would recommend for anyone with mobility issues who is confident enough to use one. Apparently Kew has them too so I may try one there next week!
