Bed preparation

April 6th - we've had a few chilly mornings and the weather's still iffy but I'm hoping to sow a few rows in my mixed beds (things like chard, spinach, beetroot, mixed lettuce will do better now than later in the season) at the weekend so today is bed preparation time!

These are no-dig, they've been enriched with compost from my heap or green manure during the winter (and mulched/covered for some of it) so a little forking over is all that's required.

Looks like lovely soil, and I see the worms are in agreement!
