Another warm day, cloudy first thing but around 16°C by mid-afternoon.
A few hours of family history this morning, finding more Nefyn ancestors in the 1921 Census, including the Uncle’s farm where my Dad’s brother was sent to work and possibly where my Dad was sent too …
The bird feeders are now empty, the sack of sunflower seeds finished so I’ve taken the feeders down and might invest in some new ones when we next start feeding in the autumn. MrD says the parent birds need to teach the chicks to forage for their natural food :-))
One of the seeds of Zucchini “Striato d’Italia” has germinated in a cell which was far too small for it - what was I thinking?? Anyhow it’s now in its own pot and I’ll keep an eye on it …
The Mahonia (blipped earlier this week) is slowly being pruned. I cut a few more branches this morning, the leaves are painfully prickly and there are so many branches of berries which I’m removing and throwing onto the garden - “waste not, want not” - the blackbirds are certainly enjoying them!
I’ve been watching Sam Neill in “The Twelve” on itvX, the members of the jury have all sorts of strange problems and the storylines are weird and complicated …
