Nicky and her Nikon

Big daddy!

I woke up before 4am this morning - it often happens when I know I have a busy day. After exercising and after breakfast, I took Xena for a walk where we saw big daddy swan again - have not seen mama lately but I think she is sitting on eggs or staying near the nest.

Then some grocery shopping, I was shocked to see how empty the shelves were at Waitrose today, I had to quickly rethink my meal plans for the week as they did not have so many things in stock. Once that was all packed away I got stuck into the AGM minutes for our meeting tonight. I get some of the reports ahead of time so can start compiling the minutes and recording all the apologies. It will be the 79th AGM of our club, it certainly has been going for a long time! Last week we did well by winning the nature photography competition in the annual Surrey Photographic Association competition, and coming second in the open section - a good result as 27 clubs were competing.

Adam phoned me at lunchtime, he is busy preparing a presentation for next month when he goes to California on a science conference. He also has to prepare a presentation for a potential future post-doc post there.

Tonight is the camera club AGM, and this is followed by our annual set subject photo competition. This year the subject is 'Movie Titles' and I chose Frozen as I have so many images that could be used for that title. It will be fun to see what other people come up with.
