From the 1950’s
This morning I made a brief visit to the Fashion Museum in Blandford Dorset. It is in a lovely old house near the centre of the town and the church and run almost entirely by volunteers.
There are various themed rooms and this was in the 1950’s room. A typical girls smocked dress, and a very special one for the coronation of the late Queen. There were also adults dresses that I recognised as being similar to some my mother had.
I will revisit when I next visit friends or family in that area.
Very sunny for most of my journey home but a few degrees cooler when I got home than in Dorset.
