Rialto beach

After a lovely breakfast at the Tokeland hotel, we went off on the same journey that SparseRunner did in 2019. I am very grateful that he doesn't mind doing the same things again and wants me to experience the highlights of his trip. 
First stop was the Quinault rainforest trailhead (extra), we walk round the forest loop and I fancied a swim in lake Quinault, where we had our first glimpse of the Olympic Mountains, but that didn't happen...
Then it was on to Rialto beach - a very spectacular beach! The sea was pretty wild and the rock formations are  impressive. We also saw a bald eagle (extra) and many pelicans.
