Sun

I made the typical remark about freezing air conditioning, as is the norm in any workshop, coach or meeting room in the tropics. Someone said that I should be used to it because ‘in your country you don’t see the sun. How often do you see the sun in UK?’

I laughed. And I hold my hands up unreservedly as I have played a major role in trash-talking the UK climate for years. And although at times it’s atrocious, it has acquired a reputation as being worse than the reality. The UK is not in the Arctic Circle.

I poked around during a break to examine the foliage.
