Cinquefoil

A morning at Foulshaw Moss. The boardwalk is really good for wheelchair access, so this place is definitely one of our faves.

The image is a marsh cinquefoil, which we noticed in several places as we walked around. I think it may also be known as the bog strawberry.

There were quite a few people with long lenses, searching the moss. I asked what they were looking for. It was either the large heath butterfly (we saw a few fluttering around, none stopped to pose) or the white faced darter dragonfly (which was more in evidence last week whilst we were here).
