Chapel Street

Just after we first saw the house in Salford, the Minx came across the Crescent Regeneration Plan, a huge and well financed project to do up the area between the university and Trinity Way.

I assumed that with public finances having been battered by Brexit, Covid, and the Tories' general financial mismanagement, the project would be cancelled or significantly reduced in scope, but it seems to be proceeding according to its original spec.

One thing that I reckon won't be affected is this splendid row of house, although I'd love to see them return to being residential rather than business premises.

If the regeneration plan is completed, they'll be overlooking a largely pedestrianised Crescent, with trams running along it, and also two bridges across to the Meadows.
