All smiles before the match!

This was before the start of the ladies singles final at Wimbledon. The girl in the middle was chosen to do the coin toss; each year they choose someone to represent a charity and this year it was Riding for the Disabled. Our local stables in Teddington does a lot of work for the RDA and that is where she rides and now helps out there too. I had heard about this in the local news so knew in advance of seeing it on TV.

All smiles with both players, very different to Ons Jabeur’s tears at the end. I was hoping she would win.
Good that we had a couple of Brits winning in men’s doubles and men’s wheelchair doubles too.

Earlier this morning I went to Kingston to the electric bike shop and have booked a test ride for Tuesday!

We had the family to lunch who had also been to Kingston. The children had bought some books with vouchers they had been given plus some new pens and a notebook each in which they are going to record what they do in the holidays! They started with enthusiasm writing a page each while at our house. Let’s hope they keep it up.

The wind has been gusting for several hours at 40-46 mph but not too much rain. Lots of foliage and small branches from trees ended up in our garden.
