Day three

I did BP first thing and OH played golf.  I showered and then did food shopping (biggest spend ever I think - around £185 and that included no booze and just filling up the cupboards - madness!).  We had a quick sandwich and then drove to Tooting to spend the afternoon with No.1.  She walked out to the roof top garden a couple of times and was happy to be out of the ward and moving.  Her face has developed some really nasty bruising since the operation and one of her eye has almost closed, bless her - looks like she has done a few rounds with Mike Tyson.  However I told her she is still beautiful, inside and out and regardless of what is going on with all the things she has been through, she is still the same beautiful, loving, kind person inside.

The picture today is of a new dahlia.  We decorated the sitting room earlier this year (waxed khaki - thanks to recommendation from No.1) and accessorised with orange cushions (again, thanks to recommendations from No.1 - what is it they say 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?). The orange dahlias look lovely in a vase to compliment the colours in the room.  Pretentious - moi!?

Onwards and upwards again.
