The Orangery at Kew Gardens

A small group cycled to Kew Gardens today and had a picnic lunch outside the Orangery. This building is now a restaurant, not an orangery. We took our own food as there are often long queues there and the food is not that good.
A bit windy on our route via Richmond Park to Mortlake and then along the river to Kew. But no rain. We were surprised how few people there were in Richmond Park or on the tow path. 
The big herbaceous borders near the Orangery now have a good range of flowers out.

Despite a 0% rain forecast we had a shower at 5.30pm when I was out for a dog walk, without a coat!
Thundery showers forecast for tomorrow.
