Smaller

In order that my new guitar does not suddenly plummet to the floor mid gig/rehearsal,I need to swap out the standard strap buttons for the more secure Strap Locks I use on all my guitars.
But - and this is a problem I’ve come across several times - the securing screws for the Strap Locks are a smaller thread than the original fitments, so will not grip properly, thus not solving the problem!
There is, however, a simple and tried and tested method of fixing this. A dollop of PVA and a bit of cocktail stick (or matchstick) in the hole and the smaller screw will tighten up nicely once the glue has dried.
It’s not full on luthiery, granted, but it’s nice to know I can do a few practical things now and again!
