Mono Monday: Looking through
Monday 21 August
Another scorching hot day, so I stayed in the cool of the air conditioning in the morning, while Roger had an appointment back at the eye hospital for a follow up visit. Unfortunately, the news wasn’t good. Apparently the eye has still not healed properly, and is going to need surgery , which will be in a couple of weeks time. They will also take care of his cataract at the same time. This came as a bit of a blow, as whilst Roger could tell it wasn’t as good as before, he’d felt it was improving. In the meantime he can keep doing things whilst being careful not to bang his head. This has certainly been a summer to remember - or forget! Late in the afternoon, we went swimming at the “Y” in the outside pool, and stayed for a while afterwards reading in the shade.
The Mono Monday challenge today is “Looking through”, so my blip is looking through the glass doors of the corner curio cabinet in our dining room, which houses more of my Lilliput Lane collection, as well as this shelf of Crown Derby China, inherited from my Mum.
