Fire and smoke

I wonder if the guy on the head describes his job as ‘Dragon’s Head Driver’! (Look large and you will see him better.)

Le Dragon de Calais was causing much excitement and getting plenty of attention. Quite mesmerising to watch. I missed the bursts of smoke and fire, but liked this photo.

Calais Plage has had huge development investment. We have watched things happen over many years and now it is totally transformed.

Extra: I do so love travelling by ferry.

And now we are staying at one of our favourite hotels - Hotel Meurice, Calais and will eat round the corner at one of our favourite restaurants. Love Calais! Good to be back.
