No swans
When we moved here we were thrilled to discover that there were dozens, hundreds even, of black swans on this part of Brisbane Water. We felt so privileged to see them every time we walked that way and we assumed that they would always be there to enliven our walks. Not so. While they are not migratory it seems that the swans are nomadic, and now for some reason known to themselves they have moved on. We don’t know whether or when they will come back. It’s a sad loss.
