Sea views

Up and out for a swim. Then Will and I packed my van to the gunnels with Daisy’s belongings and I set forth to Wales. Mainly through torrential rain but I did have the benefit of the excellent Grand Prix to listen to for much of the journey.

Got here before four, spent a grim 25 minutes that felt much longer getting the van contents up to Daisy’s second floor flat. She had had the sensible forethought to bring Toby with her to help, but god those stairs were a work out.

Once we had recovered, I got a tour of the very nice flat, loads of cupboards, views of the sea and nice bedrooms. It’s in Penarth, just outside Cardiff which is a town I like v much. I’m going to come back another time on a mini break for a proper explore. This evening we went out for a meal, cocktails were on offer. It has all been very nice just to spend a bit of Daisy time without her stressed to the hilt or dashing about.

I am truly exhausted though. My mini break is going to be on the train I think.
