12 days later this year!!

This plant was bought in 2011 on our anniversary and the first flower appeared on our anniversary last year.

Following the long winter it has finally flowered, 12 days late. Most other plants have this time delay. Interestingly the plants in P & R's garden in the Lincs/ Notts border area are ahead of us this year and are normally a week or so behind!!!

This plant was described by a visitor last year as "a bit of a thug"!! I wasn't sure what she meant, but as it has doubled in height and width this year, she might be right!!!

The birds enjoy searching the stems for insects, so we will see if it needs to be relocated to a more suitable place in the garden next year.
