It'll All Blow Over

It seems ridiculous that only a week ago the temperature hit 33 degrees C. It almost feels like the seasons change from one day to the next at the moment - we've had really cold early mornings, grey skies, torrential downpours, strong winds and then back to warm sunshine again. Meteorological madness!
Today was my last attempt at trying to fend off the fact that summer (or what very little we have had of it) really is gone for another year so I rather impetuously put up our garden parasol as a last act of defiance - it blew over less than ten minutes later and firmly disabused me of the notion that I could prolong it, even if only for just one more day.
