Ready for parties and Halloween

The blip is of a dress which I spent some time mending for my granddaughter. My daughter was given it as a cast off from someone but it was in a sorry state..lots of rips and bits hanging off. Ironing it  helped as well!  Although it’s very easy to buy cheap things for fancy dresses like this on line or in big supermarkets it is better to reuse if you can and this is actually much prettier than many of the garish offerings. She has a Halloween themed Birthday  party to go to soon.

I went to a Yogalates class today…a mixture of Pilates and yoga. The Pilates part was fine but the yoga bits were very taxing as I have never done much yoga and none for over five years….I probably won’t be going to it again! I would prefer an aerobic class or spinning!

This afternoon I went to the twins primary school and helped out with the Gardening Club. About 20 children from Years2-5. First they had to weed the raised beds outside the classrooms and do some dead heading with scissors. Then they planted some big containers with a mixture of bulbs and planted some tulips using a bulb planter to put them in the ground. I won’t be able to go every week but will when I can to help.
