Gentleman/dog on his evening stroll

Hand me a cigar,
it suits my Barbour jacket,
cool dog about town!

Just a dog on a wet evening walk, in his swanky jacket, excited by the sniff of something in a garden, tail blurry from the wag! Simple pleasures!
I had a lovely day with my mum, very gentle, she helped me empty the dishwasher and we had a walk in the rain and went to the tip and post office. Nice how companionable these things can be when you’re with someone you want to chat with! You might say I should have shown her a better time :-D but I think it worked!
I had a catch up with school, I just love the TA who is also Ben’s PA and the play therapist has some useful thoughts but it’s so hard to process the ideas for the future when you’re covered in the bruises of the present. We have a big meeting with social care on Thursday and an assessment for NHS continuing care next week, if successful it might give us some other options but it’s never very clear.
In other news I resigned as parent governor today. I just don’t feel like I can focus on anything else right now, it’s sad to give another thing up because I need to give more to Ben’s care but sensible to recognise my limits I think…
Mr KCNQ2Haiku is on a work trip so I’m bath monitor :-/ I’d better go. Also Ben has come home with a horrible cold, heaven knows where that came from, he only had a cold about 10 days ago. Autumn sucks!
