Abandoned

Just a few days ago, these chairs were being used to bask in the warm sunshine which bathed the garden from morning 'til night. Now, they lie, abandoned in the pouring rain. With the weather giving the impression that the rain and wind is set in for the rest of the summer, they may well remain scattered and forlorn, gradually vanishing into the lengthening grass which will be too wet to mow.

Of course, that is the pessimistic view - I'm more inclined to expect the rain to stop on Saturday and summer to return. The bees, butterflies and farmers certainly need a long spell of warm dry weather.

It has been miserable here today. It has rained relentlessly and the wind is now getting up too. Morning was editing photographs, cleaning bathrooms and doing a bit of ironing. I had a quick lunch, then went to pick up the mother-in-law and take her for her monthly hospital appointment for her AMD injection. On the plus side, her eyesight has shown some improvement and she was much more confident walking around the hospital. On the negative side, we sat in there for for an hour and three quarters before she got her injection. Mind you, they did have a lot of people to see. Got her home by about quarter to five.

Had tea when I got in, then back to editing pictures and back again after posting this - looking for an entry to a competition. Have to get about eighty possiblities down to four - and then they won't win, but someone has to be cannon fodder - and it's fun anticipating!
