Stepping out

The annual Fèis Thatha which is taking place in Aberfeldy this weekend included a step dancing class for adults this year - most or the classes/events are aimed at children.

When I saw it advertised I immediately signed up and T agreed to drive me over - public transport links between here and Aberfeldy are very poor.

There were five of us in total and Sophie Stephenson showed us steps for Strathspeys, Jigs and Reels and gave helpful advice on following up. We were also joined by a fiddle player which added to the afternoon.

It was held in the Breadalbane Community Campus which I'd never visited before - what a great building for schooling and other activities.

We are heading out again this evening- Big Country supported by White China are playing in the Town Hall. Should be fun (as well as taking me back a good few years).
