Nice cards!
We had our elderly neighbour in for coffee this morning and it was interesting to hear him talk about some of the places he had visited while in the RAF when he was a pilot. He also flew from aircraft carriers sometimes and at the end of his career ended up as an attaché in Geneva.
This afternoon I volunteered at our local arts centre Christmas Sparkle event….this is in an old church and there were over 70 stalls with all sorts of crafts …for gifts! Lots of the items were very well made…jewellery, handmade clothes, quilts, wood carvings/ bowls, art work, pottery etc etc. but I was not tempted to buy anything except some cards. The lady had a stall with A3 and A4 prints but also the same images on cards which were cheap at 4 for £10. There were some with different animals and more risqué words! The cards are done by two friends…one does the animals and the other adds the flowery decoration and the words!
I did a couple of hours on the door welcoming people and checking QR codes of those who had bought tickets in advance. It was meant to be a four hour shift but I shared with a friend…it would be very tedious for four hours.
A quiet evening ahead with TV to watch…Strictly from Blackpool as well as catching up on other recorded programmes.
