The Last Leaves

It was very cold and frosty this morning. I'm glad a took a few photos first thing as I'm not sure where the rest of the day has gone really.

It was lovely and sunny too, and the last few red leaves on our Cercis Forest Pansy (*) looked super with the backlighting. Most of their compatriots had long since departed, some of them encased in the icy water of the bird bath.

In other news Pompey finally gave up their long unbeaten record in style, losing 0--4 at home to Blackpool. Very disappointing, but I don't think they have played well for ages. I'm hoping this isn't the start of another disappointing season.
