Another Fun Day

I decided to make a nice breakfast for the crew. They enjoyed a sausage, egg and cheese crescent braid and pumpkin cheese coffee cake. We simply rested until lunch time. Afterwards, we piled in the car and went to town. First stop was at our Thanksgiving host’s home to take the gift we previously forgot to give him. We headed to Ohio and walked through Steubenville to visit as many of the 200+ life size nutcrackers as possible. We drove back to WV and visited a resort that has a beautiful Christmas light display. By then it was dinner time so we headed to the other side of town. We treated the group to fantastic burgers and salads and ended the day with a bit of shopping. As we got settled at the restaurant, my son and his family presented us with unbelievably good seats to a Nailers’ professional hockey game. We have wanted to go to a game as long as we’ve been coming to WV. What a wonderful thank you gift. Parker has already put in a reservation to stay next Thanksgiving. We will be happy to have him. It is 10:00 pm and we can see the farm. Would ask for prayers for our great grand Isla who is at the hospital with RSV. Her big brother is also showing symptoms. Always a worry. Before we were aware of Isla’s situation, we’d had a fun day. Hope you did as well. Stay safe. Thanks for continuing to stop by even when I have been delinquent. Our company leaves early in the morning so I should be able to find time to read your journals. “If you’re not having fun, you’re doing something wrong.” Groucho Marx
