Getting Her Ready for Winter
We started out a bit slow this morning. The long drive, packing and lifting yesterday was a bit much for our old bodies. Hubby spent some time trying to find a piece of plexiglas for River’s new train table. The protective cover and table are a joint gift from Jamie, Renee and us. Locating a piece big enough but not way too big is his dilemma. He spent the afternoon cleaning and the first phase of maintenance on his ATV. He is very conscientious when it comes to taking care of his small engines. They last a long time and run well as a result. He’ll attach the snow blade to the ATV so we are ready for winter. Now all we’ll need is snow. I spent my day wrapping gifts and made a nice dent in the task. Our available days are few. Sunday we’ll be with my mother installing a new dishwasher, then to Brooklyn’s game and out to celebrate her upcoming 13th birthday. My Aunt’s viewing/prayers are Tuesday so we’ll be on the road for hours. Every day is filling up so quickly. But I will not panic. Kristen took her last undergraduate exam last night. She has completed all the requirements for her Bachelors Degree with a 3.98 GPA; very proud of her. She has worked so hard. I really should be wrapping instead of writing. Enjoy your week and be safe. Thanks for stopping by. “We take better care of the maintenance of our cars (vehicles) than we take care of the maintenance of our bodies.” - David H. Murdock
