London

I love a trip to London and around Christmas time the city is beautiful and festive.  I had booked tickets to see Moonwalkers which was at the Lightbox near Kings Cross.  I have only been to KC a handful of times and never to Coal Drops yard - what a great place with lots of history, right on the edge of the Regent's Canal.  Moonwalkers was an immersive story with lots of film and pictures, narrated by Tom Hanks - recalling the Apollo moon landings - amazing to think it was almost 50 years ago!  Another space expedition is planned for 2024 called Artemis - one to watch out for.

We had a quick bite to eat and a glass of wine before getting the tube to St Paul's.  No.2 had told me about a carol service which he and H were attending - we met them there and it was wonderful.  Not quite what I imagined (no singing but listening to the choristers of SPC) -beautiful angelic voices accompanied by a harpist performing Benjamin Britten's - A ceremony of carols.  Magical.

A quick walk back to London Bridge over the wobbly bridge and caught the train back home again.  Lovely day.

No.1 had further blood test this morning and fortunately no more transfusions for the present time - although needs another blood test on the 27th - it seems never ending for her, and she has another cold - poor love.  Must be low blood count making her susceptible to infection - I do hope she shakes it and feels better soon xx
