Newest Bauble

This was waiting for me when I got home from my outing this afternoon - yes, after testing 3 lenses, I finally pulled the trigger and now own my first short zoom. I haven’t put it on the camera yet but plan to do so tomorrow. I already know it’s a great lens.

I dropped off Jax this morning at day care then dashed back home to get cold weather gear and camera for my walk with my birder friends today. I reached in the pocket and pulled out a cell phone ….that wasn’t mine! Yes, apparently I grabbed if off the counter at the Green Dog Inn. Good lord. Anyway,. By then I was late so Hubs called to let them know we had it while I drove up to meet my friends.

He had a delightful walk in the woods - hilly terrain so we got some steps in. Then back to Donna’s house for homemade turkey soup, snacks and Christmas cookies. A great time. I will pop a shot in Extra of Karyn, Allison and Giselle to give you an idea of the terrain.

Back home in time for a FT call with mom and dad. Dad saw his doctor today who ordered up a raft of scans to rule out any broken bones and prescriptions to help alleviate the swelling and pain. The worst pain is in his back and if you’ve ever had back pain, you’ll appreciate how debilitating it can be. Anyway, he’s in good spirits and is committed to going for a follow up visit if he isn’t feeling better in 5 days.

Last night Hubs and I watched “His Girl Friday” with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell. It was made in 1940 and it’s still a fun romp of a movie. The night before we watched Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock in “Two Weeks Notice” - another fun flick.

I had a small piece of homemade mint fudge today. Delicious!
