Picture perfect

Sister-in-law Sue has Christmas dinner down to a T.  Utterly delicious, on time, pre-prepped and with all the requisite elements.  You could have had pictures of all the people around the table but you'll just have to imagine them.

The day started slightly alarmingly as Ivy was very pale and floppy first thing and we were considering A&E before we gave her something to eat and she started to perk up.  Turns out she gets hypoglycemic which is an issue for children with Downs but it was very alarming for her parents, and for me.   It had happened once before but then it was bound up with a respiratory infection so this, out of the blue sky was new.   Porridge did it but they are going to look into more fast acting remedies.

In order to have the children at lunch with minimum disruption we took cots and high chairs over early and once they were up from their nap they joined us at the table and were great fun and very happy.

We did some presents last night and some more this morning before we went over to Petersfield for lunch.  All very relaxed and fun.  Vikram gave me some super deluxe sécateurs from Niwaki which explains why he was a bit cast down that I visited there last week.

It was lovely to sit round the table with a lot of family members, with Mum in the pale pink cashmere sleeveless jumper I gave her,  posing with her presents to be sent round the various givers and with @xtoph1 and Anthony phoning in.   Happy Christmas everyone!
